The Pierrette Players put on “All the Rage”, a dark comedy by Keith Reddin, from Nov. 20 to 22, 2025. Tickets sold quickly as students, faculty, staff, and the general public rushed to secure their seats. The anticipation grew as the lights dimmed and silence fell over the audience. The production starred Salem College students.

The premise of the play involves a murder and its effects on an increasingly entangled cast of characters. Paired with vulgar language and viewers being advised that it is for mature audiences, the play explored death, gun violence, and human beings’ very fallible nature, all set against the background of everyday relationships, loss of love, loss of money, and self-discovery.

Ashley Pearson, the Theater Director of Salem Academy and College, later commented, “What a ride! The melodramatic style elevates the seemingly far-fetched plotlines but also holds a mirror to some of the worst parts of our society.”

Pearson attributes the success of the production to the “cast and crew working very hard to bring this story to life, and to death, and madness, as it were.” Through an entertaining show, the consequences of handling fears and frustrations in an unhealthy way came to light. Even with a darker subject matter, a fun time was had by all in creating and presenting this play!
